Large hard shelled gourd: 14”X11”

Dyed with leather dye and metallic ink dyes. Carved and wood burned leaves that are texturized and twigs that are an egg shell mosaic. The rim is woven Danish cord in two colors. The band at the top is variegated gold leafing. It is further embellished with wood beads, metal butterflies and wood slice. The inside has hardened beeswax for additional stability and it is lined with mulberry paper.
